Some Seem to be Trapped

Trapping; Also known as a form of benefiting economically by selling and/or distributing illegal substances seems to be the lifestyle most people are taking . But is this lifestyle affected by recent increase in music that associates itself with trapping ? Hit makers like Gucci Mane and Yo Gotti mention in there lyrics how they use to trap before actually making it in the music industry . Has there recent popularity encouraged people to go out and try this old and dangerous way of making a profit ? Some say yes, that people are influenced by what they are exposed to. And others argue no, music does not have the much of an impact on peoples lives, everything seen in the media is not reenacted on by the public. "Trapping" as referred, dates back to times of the opium war and even before then . The trade of illegal products is a not a recent problem or situation . My question is, why is it illegal ? Women can sell indecent photos for a profit and get praised for it . Being rewarded money, fame, and even a high status, these practices are legal. While others who are trapping trying make a better life to support themselves and others around them, are persecuted and sent off to prison. Rapper Lil Wayne brought this to my attention two years ago with one of his many hit records on his latest CD Tha Carter III, His song Misunderstood had a very controversial commentary at the end. His commentary explained that the government allows the "real" criminals; sex offenders and rapist, to resume living as he or she was before the initial charge of his or her conviction. But a drug dealer ? Ohh, he or she is sent to jail . The time a rapist spends in jail is less than half what a drug dealer spends in jail . Why is that ? Why can someone who is trying to make a better life for his or her family be punished ? While someone who is mentally sick can go out into the world endangering women and men of all ages ? Who makes these decisions and laws ? One Man; David Harold Earls rapes a FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl and only receives one year imprisonment because of a plea bargain. While Luis Oscar Reyes-Dilone can traffick cocaine trying to provide for his children and family a better life and is sentenced to twelve years imprisonment . Hmmm , Isn't that a jaw dropper ?
