It's YOUR Body . .
Some question whether it's okay to get tattoos and piercings at such a young age. Ideally, if it is your body you can do just about anything you want to it with some restrictions. Some tattoo parlors wont allow a minor to receive a tattoo, while others find no problem with it as long as a signed permission slip is issued by their parent(s). Personally, I don't find a problem with tattoos or piercings, I would just be mindful that with tattoos, those symbols and/or words or pictures are going to stay on your body permanently. Unless . . you get the tattoo removed, which hurts 10X WORSE than actually getting the tattoo and they're somewhat expensive. Choose wisely, don't get a tattoo that you saw someone else with just bcuz you "like" it. For one, that's not original and for two you don't know the symbolic meaning of the tattoo. It could mean "dickhead" and you don't know, you just think it looks nice. RESEARCH all your tattoo ideas, via internet, books, or even asking people. If you want a Japanese letter on your neck and you have a bestfriend who speaks fluent Japanese, it would be wise to get that friend to write out what you want the tattoo to say rather than google it.
